I’ve been blessed with the wonderful opportunity to have lived and worked in many countries. My roots are in Germany, and I’ve lived in the United States, Mexico and Belgium. Throughout my international journey, I’ve learned a lot about achieving results through successful, strategic intercultural relationships. But before I tell you more about that, let’s take a step back in time…
I was born and raised in Germany, before life took me to the United States as a teenager. Building on my education in the US, I completed an intensive short-study stay at College in Mexico. When I returned to Germany, I completed my studies whilst working for a leading American Consumer Goods Company. During this time I successfully progressed my career within the European division and was soon promoted to the European Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
My job was quite dynamic. I was part of a global multifunctional project team, and was the Project Leader for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in the Customer Business Development Department. It was my job to find efficient, systemic solutions for regional opportunities, making sure the right resources were involved and achieving project goals on time and on budget.
The job also required A LOT of travel. The assignment took me to almost every EMEA office, and I found myself travelling both regionally and globally, achieving strategic business development goals for my employer. I became an expert in working with people from all walks of life, across countries, cultures, functions and divisions.
At the point that I was spending most of my time travelling, I realized I needed to make some changes. I optimized my job so that I could travel less, and focus on what I really wanted in my life. At this time, I asked myself, “Is this the life you want to live for the rest of your life?” I decided I wanted it all! I wanted to continue travelling, spend more time at home, get married, start a family AND continue to work internationally.
What a challenge!
So I did it: I left my job and set up my own business HQuadrat Solution in 2007. During the past years, I’ve established HQuadrat Solution as a high quality go-to solution provider for international businesses looking to expand their customer base.
I’m passionate about working with people from around the globe and empowering them to reach their goals through successful and professional planning, marketing and execution at international exhibitions.
