I first started working with Heike as she was building a regional team across EMEA, to lead a significant initiative that would step-change how P&G acquired, stored and reported retailers’ shipment and sales data.

Data accuracy, timely delivery and the ability to aggregate shipments across different customer formats and countries were key deliverables; with productivity gains, manual report elimination and efficient delivery of actionable data the key metrics. The initiative was a global effort, with the first steps launched in Europe under Heike’s leadership; and was unprecedented in the industry at the time.
Heike recruited and engaged multi-functional managers into the Regional team. The project team were answerable to the sponsors – the board made up of P&G Vice Presidents and Directors.

The cross functional and multi-cultural composition of the team created many challenges, as did the scope and scale of the work, but the outcome was the successful delivery against all objectives.
